Can I bulk generate mockups from my own PSD without writing Photoshop scripts?+
Yes. Upload your PSD to the MockupKit dashboard (smart objects required). Use batch mode to apply one artwork across multiple templates or colour variants in a single run, with no ExtendScript, actions, or manual smart-object swapping.
What does my PSD need for batch rendering to work?+
Your Photoshop file should include at least one smart object layer for artwork placement. MockupKit reads the template structure on upload. Solid colour fill layers are supported for garment and background colour overrides during batch renders.
How is batch mode different from the live demo?+
The demo on mockupkit.app lets you try batch generation on public templates: pick a template, upload artwork, tick “Also generate on” for related mockups, and download every render. In the dashboard, batch mode works with your uploaded PSDs and full template library.
Can I batch generate without the API?+
Absolutely. Batch mode is built into the MockupKit dashboard and demo for non-developers. The REST API is optional when you want to automate the same workflow at scale (hundreds of SKUs, webhooks, marketplace sync).
How many mockups can I generate in one batch?+
Select as many templates as your plan allows in the dashboard batch UI, or pass multiple template IDs to POST /v1/render. Collection renders apply one artwork to every template in a saved collection with a single API call.
